Weekend & After-Hours Support

Weekend, After-Hours & Overnight Support Worker in Perth

Looking for support outside the usual nine-to-five? I'm Samuel — an experienced independent support worker with genuine availability on weekends, weekday afternoons and evenings, and overnight.

Genuine weekend, evening and overnight availability, right now, across the Perth metro area.

Life doesn't only happen between nine and five — and neither does the need for support. If you or someone you love needs a reliable support worker in the evenings, overnight, or on weekends, that's exactly the availability I've just opened up. I'm Samuel, an independent support worker based in Perth with over nine years' experience, and I currently have room for a few new clients who need after-hours help.

When I'm available

Right now I'm taking on new clients for:

  • Weekends — Saturday and Sunday support, when a lot of services simply aren't around.
  • Weekday afternoons and evenings — a hand at the end of the day, when it's often needed most.
  • Overnight and night shifts — support through the evening and into the night, by arrangement.

Weekday daytime hours are more limited, but always worth a conversation — tell me what you need and I'll be straight with you about what I can commit to.

What after-hours support can look like

My support is non-clinical — everyday help and genuine companionship, not nursing or personal care. In the evenings, overnight and on weekends, that often means:

  • Company and companionship — a friendly, familiar face for someone who'd otherwise be on their own of an evening or over the weekend.
  • Getting out on the weekend — social outings, community activities, a hand getting to appointments, sport or events.
  • A settled evening routine — help winding down, a hand around the home, preparing a meal together.
  • Overnight reassurance — a dependable, familiar presence through the night, by arrangement.
  • Weekend and evening respite — giving family carers a proper break exactly when other supports have clocked off.

Who I support after hours

  • NDIS participants — if your plan is self- or plan-managed, you can choose me directly.
  • Older adults — evening and weekend company, and everyday help at home.
  • Children and young people — I hold a current Working With Children Check.
  • Private clients — arrange support directly, any day of the week, with no waitlist.

Why weekend and after-hours support is so hard to find

Most larger agencies either don't offer evening and weekend support, send a different worker every time, or charge a premium for the privilege. As an independent worker I can offer something different: the same familiar person, reliably, at the hours you actually need — building real trust rather than sending whoever happens to be on shift.

A quick, honest note: I provide non-clinical support and companionship. I'm not a nurse, and I don't provide personal care, medication management or clinical care. Where those are needed, I'm glad to work alongside the right qualified provider.

Trusted, checked and experienced

You're inviting someone into your home, often at quieter hours — so trust matters more than anything. I hold a current NDIS Worker Screening Check, National Police Check, Working With Children Check, First Aid & CPR, and full public liability insurance, with references available. Nine years in, I turn up when I say I will.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you work weekends?

Yes — weekend support (Saturday and Sunday) is one of the main things I'm taking on new clients for right now. I work with NDIS participants, older adults and private clients across the Perth metro area.

Do you do overnight or night shifts?

Yes. Evening, overnight and night support is available by arrangement — tell me what the night involves and I'll let you know honestly what I can commit to. It's non-clinical support and companionship, so not nursing or personal care.

Are weekday evenings available?

Yes — weekday afternoons and evenings are part of my current availability, which is often exactly when a hand is needed most. Weekday daytime hours are more limited, but always worth asking about.

Do you charge more for weekends or after hours?

Rates for weekend and after-hours support are best discussed directly, so they suit your situation and any NDIS plan. I aim to be fair and good value compared with a large agency. This is general information, not financial advice.

Which areas of Perth do you cover?

All of the Perth metropolitan area — I travel to clients across the northern, southern, eastern and coastal suburbs. Just ask and I'll let you know.

Can I use NDIS funding for weekend or evening support?

Often, yes. Where it's a reasonable and necessary support in your plan, weekend and evening help is commonly funded — and if your plan is self- or plan-managed you can choose me directly. Check your plan or ask your planner or coordinator.
