An Experienced Support Worker Who Puts People First
Experienced Support. Genuine Connection. Your Life, Your Way.
Hello, I'm Samuel. I've worked as a support worker for more than 9 years.
Over that time I've learnt that good support isn't about doing things to a checklist. It's about understanding the individual, respecting their choices, and being someone reliable they can trust. That belief is the foundation of Samuel G Support.
My Approach
I believe support should fit around a person's life rather than forcing them into a fixed routine. Everyone I work with is different, so I take the time to understand what matters to them, how they like to be supported and what they'd like to achieve.
Where appropriate, I encourage people to participate and maintain their independence rather than automatically taking over. Sometimes that means practical assistance, sometimes encouragement, and sometimes simply being a familiar, reliable person alongside someone as they go about their day.
What I Value
These are the principles that guide how I work:
Respect
Treating every person, their home, routines and choices with genuine care and dignity.
Reliability
Being consistent and dependable — someone people can feel comfortable relying on.
Communication
Listening, checking in and shaping support around what each person actually wants.
Independence
Encouraging participation and confidence rather than doing everything for someone.
Person-Centred
Keeping the individual at the centre of every decision about their support.
Genuine Connection
Building a positive, respectful relationship built on trust over time.
More Than 9 Years of Experience
Across more than 9 years of support work, I've supported people with a wide range of needs and circumstances. That experience has taught me patience, adaptability and the importance of really listening to the person in front of me.
As an independent support worker, I'm able to offer consistency and flexibility that can be harder to find through a large agency — the same familiar person, support shaped around you, and direct communication throughout.
What I Provide
I support people across a range of everyday areas. Explore what I offer:
An Honest Note About What I Offer
I believe in being upfront. I provide non-clinical support and companionship. I do not provide personal care, medication assistance or clinical support. Personal care is a specific type of support that should only be offered where the appropriate qualifications, experience and arrangements are in place.
If you're looking for a particular type of support, contact me and we can talk honestly about whether my services are the right fit for your circumstances.
