A Cerebral Palsy Support Worker in Perth Who Sees You First
Experienced Support. Genuine Connection. Your Life, Your Way.
Respectful, person-first support built around you — not your diagnosis.
Cerebral palsy affects everyone differently, and so does the support that helps. What matters most is a support worker who takes the time to understand you, your routines and what you want to get out of life.
I'm Samuel, an independent support worker in Perth with more than 9 years of experience supporting people with a wide range of needs.
As an independent cerebral palsy support worker, I offer consistent, one-to-one support from the same familiar person — someone who gets to know you and works at your pace.
Support Built Around the Person
Good cerebral palsy support isn't about a standard program — it's about you: your goals, your interests, your routines and how you like to be supported. My role is to provide practical, respectful, everyday assistance that helps you take part in life the way you want to, while always respecting your independence and choices.
How I Can Help
Depending on your circumstances, non-clinical cerebral palsy support might include:
Community Access
Support to get out, attend activities and appointments, and take part in the community.
Social Connection
Genuine companionship and support to stay socially connected around your interests.
Everyday Activities
Practical help with day-to-day tasks while encouraging independence and confidence.
Appointments & Outings
Support to plan for and get to appointments, activities and day trips.
Interests & Goals
Support shaped around your hobbies, interests and the goals that matter to you.
Respite for Family
Reliable support that also gives family and carers a well-earned break.
Support is available for adults and young people, shaped around each person's individual needs.
Honest About What I Do & Don't Provide
I believe in being upfront. I provide non-clinical support and companionship. I do not provide personal care, manual handling, physiotherapy, medication or any clinical support — those should only be provided by people with the right qualifications and arrangements in place. My support works alongside any therapists, clinicians or personal-care providers already involved. If you're looking for a particular kind of support, contact me and we'll talk honestly about whether I'm the right fit.
Cerebral Palsy Support and the NDIS
Many people with cerebral palsy access support through the NDIS, often under core supports like assistance with daily life and social and community participation. Self-managed and plan-managed participants can usually choose their own support workers, including an independent provider like me. How support can be arranged depends on your plan and circumstances. Learn more on the NDIS page.
Support that sees the person, not the diagnosis.
Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of cerebral palsy support do you provide?
Non-clinical, everyday support — community access, social connection, help with daily activities, getting to appointments and outings, and respite for family. It's about helping you take part in life the way you want, at your pace.
Do you provide personal care, manual handling or physiotherapy?
No. I provide non-clinical support and companionship only. Personal care, manual handling, physiotherapy, medication and clinical supports should be provided by qualified people with the right arrangements in place. My support can work alongside them.
Do you support adults and young people?
Yes. I support adults and young people with cerebral palsy, with support shaped around each person's individual needs and, where appropriate, involving family.
Can NDIS funding be used for this support?
Often, yes — through core supports such as assistance with daily life and community participation. Self-managed and plan-managed participants can usually engage an independent support worker. It depends on your plan and circumstances.
